Kathy Bowlen

Presenter, ABC Stateline Victoria

Kathy Bowlen has specialised in reporting on Victoria and its politics for two decades.  As a current affairs and news journalist, Kathy has covered all of the big stories in this state in that time; including elections, floods, fires, industrial disputes, etc.  For the past decade, Kathy has presented the Victorian current affairs program "Stateline" on ABC TV.  Kathy has won two Legal Reporting Awards, a national OPSO award, and a High Commendation from the Melbourne Press Club.  

Kathy has a strong interest in the Community, and is a member of the Governing Council of Swinburne University, a past Board Member of the Australian Sustainable Industry Research Council in Gippsland, and the Next Wave Festival for new and emerging artists.  Kathy was born in Melbourne, and chose to raise her own family here.  She also coaches her daughters' under 10 netball team.
