Coffee takes over as the dominant hot beverage in Australia

Coffee is now the dominant hot beverage in Australia, supplanting tea as the first choice at-home drink among Australians, as the nation diversifies its coffee palate and makes the shift towards becoming a coffee nation according to BIS Foodservice’s Coffee and Beverages 2012 report series.

However, the report series also found that the popularity of tap water has increased as a cautious country reverts to basics and seeks to lower costs where possible.
