BIS Shrapnel Merges with Oxford Economics
We are excited to advise you that one of the world’s foremost independent global advisory firms, UK-headquartered Oxford Economics (www.oxfordeconomics.com), has acquired a controlling stake in BIS Shrapnel.
Effective 1st March 2017, we merged with the Australian operation of Oxford Economics, with the new organisation to be named BIS Oxford Economics.
A key benefit for our clients will be the merging of BIS Shrapnel’s deep knowledge of the Australian economy with Oxford Economics’ unparalleled understanding of the global economy. We view this as a great opportunity to support both Australian and international clients as they look to better understand the global economy and the opportunities and risks it presents.
The new entity will operate from our existing offices within Australia, where Robert Mellor will lead BIS Oxford Economics as Managing Director, while Frank Gelber will remain Chief Economist and Director. David Walker, from Oxford Economics will also join as director. All BIS Shrapnel personnel will remain within the business and the company will continue to provide the high quality independent, market-leading forecasts and analysis of the building, construction, property and mining sectors.
We will provide further details of the merger at our upcoming March conferences, where Oxford Economics will present a global economic outlook. If you have not booked for the conference and are interested in attending please contact our Subscriptions and Conferences Client Services Team by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 02 8458 4220.
We are excited by this opportunity to work within a global advisory firm that shares many of the same values as BIS Shrapnel. In the interim if you have any questions or would like understand more feel free to contact either David or I.
