Economic and Industry Forecasting BIS Shrapnel has an enviable reputation for picking turning points in economic activity. Our forecasting record over many years has proven the worth of this approach. BIS Shrapnel won acclaim for correctly predicting Australia's growth acceleration through the 1997/98 Asian crisis and led the pack again in picking the domestic downturn in 2000/2001. But our real strength is in understanding the fundamental drivers of supply and demand in key markets and industry sectors. Much of the research we conduct can be tailored to provide customised reports specific to your business. BIS Shrapnel can also assist with other ad hoc research tasks such as economic impact assessments and compiling submissions for use in commercial negotiations or in advocacy with public sector and regulating agencies. Over the last decade, we have also undertaken the development of models for private clients in different sectors.
