Gary Tilsley has worked in the food and foodservice, paper and packaging industries for his entire working career. After graduating MA in Economics from the University of Canterbury, he joined the BIS Group of Companies in London in 1973, and undertook research throughout Western Europe, Japan, South East Asia, Southern Africa and Australasia. He moved to Sydney in 1976 and was appointed Managing Director of BIS Shrapnel Pty Limited in 1981, following the BIS Group's acquisition of Philip Shrapnel and Company Pty Limited. He has now taken on a business development role for the company.
