Maria has twenty years' experience in property research, forecasting and consultancy in the UK and Australia. She has worked in a variety of environments, giving her a broad perspective on property markets. In Australia, she has worked with BNZ North Stockbrokers, Growth Equities Mutual, Knight Frank and Paladin.

Maria has worked with BIS Shrapnel since 1994. Her range of multi-client work includes:

• Retail Property Market report - Maria launched the first BIS Shrapnel study on the retail property market in 1996 and is responsible for updating the study on an annual basis.
• Bulky Goods Property - Maria was responsible for developing the bulky goods study in 1999 and leads a team to update the report annually.
• Sydney Industrial Property, Melbourne Industrial Property - Maria has undertaken several editions of each of these reports.
• Melbourne Commercial Property, Melbourne's Near City and Suburban Office Markets - Maria has been responsible for BIS Shrapnel's Melbourne commercial studies since 2000, including launching the near city report in 2002.
• Eastern Seaboard Hotel Market - Maria launched BIS Shrapnel's first hotel market study in 2006.
  

In addition, Maria undertakes ad hoc private client work which to date has focussed on the retail property market and the commercial, industrial and retail property markets of Auckland.
